Bemused

We spent a few minutes yesterday taking photos of our three Border Collie ladies, (from left to right) Fly, Pip and Sheila.

Fly, Pip and Sheila

It didn’t take us as long as expected to get the photo – thanks to the quad!

Sheila and Pip

Fly was decidedly unhappy about being crammed in with the youngsters.

This is degrading.

Fly

Crazy ears! Thanks to the wind…

Fly and Pip

After our photo session, the sun came out and Pip and Sheila ran around a bit (nothing new there then).

Faster!

Run!

Sheila

Then something strange happened. Pip lay down in front of Sheila and started to play in a Sprollie way.

Pip and Sheila

Look at me, mum! I’m insane!

Crazy Pip!

That’s how Ben plays. And he’s mad. I even caught Pip in the act on video.

The other animals were bemused.

Weird wolf. Baa.

The Flock

Ewe and lambs

Don’t step on meeee!

Ladybird

My attempts to control Pip failed. She ran away.

Going, going, gone!

Sucka!

It's Hot!

On a day like this…

Blue Skies

…how could I stay annoyed?

Hello...

Sheila and Pip talked about me.

Gossiping

Just shake it off, Pip!

Shake!

That’s it!

Please visit Mr. Pip’s blog to celebrate his blogaversary with him – Pip and Ben went!

Over and out!

Blur of the Moment

The only sign of Summer we have among the wind and rain, is the long days. It stays pretty light outside until about 10 o’clock.

It’s still bright enough to take photos at 10 to 10 at night.

Pip

There are a few things that annoy me about my camera – the “Sports” mode only takes photos at only 3MP quality, and it can hardly ever take a good action shot. But I like this blur.

Blur of the moment...

A running Pip at 21:50. How lovely.

Busy Week

It's been a very busy week at Greenhill Farm, and Pip is angry.

Apparently, I haven't updated this blog in a whole week!

Shocking, I know.

The big news is that Kim went to a new home last week. I'm not going to say any more about that because the new owner wants things kept private, and that's fine with me.

Pip has been angry with the weather too. We've been having rain, rain, rain, wind, wind, wind all of the time! It's very annoying.

I think Pip's happy now because I've updated the blog.

And what's that? The sun's come out - huzzah!

Devil Dog

Look at Ben's Devil fangs!

Ben was eating grass while me and my Dad worked at putting sheep wire on to gates to stop lambs escaping.

Don't mess with the Devil Dog!

He was very happy to sit and watch us in the sunshine...

Good boy!

Transformations - From Brown Dogs to Superheroes!

Mr. Pip is holding an anniversary weekend, and he asked for superheroes. Mr. Pip, I give you...

Super Ben Job!

And...

Super Little Pip!

OK, so they look more like wizards than superheroes, but you have to admit they're cute!

But getting these superheroes to pose wasn't just so easy...

"So, mum, what fun stuff are we gonna do today?"

"I'm guessing, then, that we're not going to play football...?"

"I'm playing ball... I'm playing ball... I'm playing..."

"Uh... you didn't just put a hat on my head..."

"Oh, boy... This is embarrassing..."

"Are we gonna play dress-up?! Yay!"

"I think this hat is my colour."

"Dress-up is fun! We should do that more often!"

"Now, where's my cookie?"

The Balmoral Show 2011

On Thursday I went to the Balmoral Show, Northern Ireland's largest agricultural show. I took a lot of photos (124 to be precise), and here are a few of my favourites:

The winning Clydesdales.

A borrowing owl.

Duck herding!

The lovely Bo.

A nice little donkey.

An adorable little puppy!

Sleeping pigs.

There was lots to see and do. All of the photos won't fit into this post so please watch this video to see the rest...

And all of the photos didn't even fit on there! There are a few more in the Balmoral Show 2011 set on Flickr.

A Year of Kim in Pictures

Kim also celebrated her birthday on May 7th, so here's Kim's short trip down memory lane...

At her birthday party celebrating 4 years.

At 4 years, 1 month Kim enjoyed her first Shepherd's Pie experience.

At 4 years, 2 months she pretended to be a rabbit.

At 4 years, 3 months Kim decided that the tractor was awesome.

At 4 years, 4 months she went a little crazy...

At 4 years, 5 months she learned to control the urge to chase sheep - just watch them instead.

At 4 years, 6 months I didn't take any photos.

At 4 years, 7 months Kim enjoyed the snow.

At 4 years, 8 months Kim was still watching sheep.

At 4 years, 9 months I didn't take any photos again!

At 4 years, 10 months Kim could watch the sheep in the evening too, because the evenings were getting brighter.

At 4 years, 11 months Kim got a bath.

At 5 years she celebrated her birthday!

So that's your (almost) complete guide to Kim's year.
