On Sunday, it was Ben’s birthday. I had planned to blog about it on Sunday, but I was having trouble getting the pictures up.
Throughout the past year, Ben has been friends with one of the dogs more than the others, and that’s Jack. Ben has always loved Jack, and Jack has always loved Ben. They share a love of fun, and the same Sprollie genes. So it was fitting that the only guest at the party was him.
The last time Jack was at a party, he didn’t bother playing with the other dogs and simply sat in a corner and chewed two footballs to death.
Jack loves footballs.
This time however, he decided to tease Ben with the ball.
A fight ensued, and no one was going to back down.
But Ben knew all of the tricks (he does play with Sheila, after all).
And Ben soon had the upper hand (or paw).
The chase was on.
They raced up…
Jack wasn’t as agile as Ben, and soon was almost begging for the ball.
He even tried brute force.
But alas, Ben’s grip on the ball was too strong.
Time for some cake.
I made this with a can of dog food, two packets of dog treats and puppy kibble.
Ben scoffed the lot.
Ben really enjoyed his Birthday meal.
Then it was time for the present.
Whatever could be inside?
The wrapping paper’s upside-down. This was wrapped by dogs, you see. *Chough*
It’s a huge KONG!
It was so black and shiny.
Then I gave it to Ben. He sniffed it.
Wondered what it was.
Be honest with me. Is this a bomb?
Then he chewed it.
He’s after my present! Ruuuuuun!
Jack was back, and he was annoyed because Ben ate all of the cake by himself.
I’ll just keep the ball then.
Ben had some peace at last. Time to play KONG.
Ben found some innovative new ways of playing with a KONG (note Jack in the corner with the ball in protest).
That was a fun party. Happy Birthday, Ben!
